The exhibition includes photographs and illustrations, crucial facts and figures, graphs and charts, interviews, advice and information all about the workings of the HIV virus what it means for a gay man if an HIV test result turns out to be positive.

2,452 men took part in last years survey.


How many men had tested for HIV?
80% of men questioned had tested for HIV sometime in the past and 43% had tested within the last year.

How many men reported having had a sexually transmitted infection in the last year?
28% of men reported having had a sexually transmitted infection in the last year.

London Gay Men`s Sexual Health Survey 2004 gets underway
NOVEMBER 2004

IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS, fieldworkers will be touring gay bars, clubs and saunas across London
asking customers to help with an important London sexual health survey. The survey is run by researchers at the Royal Free and University College Medical School, and has been carried out annually in London since 1996. The results of the survey are important in helping organisations like Freedoms to develop projects to help prevent the spread of HIV and promote good sexual health for gay men.
